We found out that key limes are pretty impossible to find in the Cincinnati area in March. We had to go for key lime juice. I didn't know I liked key lime pie, and maybe I don't, but I love Jim's key lime pie. A great balance of tart and sweet.

03-20 Robin's Cat Cora's Salmon Loaf, Asparagus & Potato Hash and Cinnamon Ice Cream
I liked everything, and wasabi mayo was like a revelation to me. The guys were just OK on the salmon loaf, but the side dish was good.
The Cinnamon Ice Cream with Apple topping was amazing. I love the Ultimate Ice Cream Book. This was my go-to ice-cream book until another one came out. Most of the recipes are made custard-style, where you cook eggs just short of scrambling, hopefully. :) They also have recipes for Philly-style ice cream where the eggs are uncooked. I usually opt for the custard style. We apparently ate the ice cream before I could take a pic.

03-13 Jim's Wild Mushroom Risotto & Apple Custard
I don't remember much about this meal. I remember thinking you could skip the custard part of the pie - whole cream- for a lighter dessert. It tasted just like a delicious apple pie.

03-05 Robin's Wild Rice Soup en Croute (Bernard Clayton's New Complete Book of Breads, Soups and Stews)
Jim was sick this weekend, so I went to my Mom's and cooked for her. In return, I got some nice soup crocks. I'm not sure what "en Croute" means, but I think it means surrounded by buttery awesomeness.
